What is The Business Connection
The Business Connection is the network I wish I had access to when I first started my business.
After several years of figuring it all out as I went along, I decided to create the change I wanted to see in the business community by creating a place where we can all come to get help from others who are on the same journey.
The Business Connection will help you overcome the never-ending challenges of owning your own business by giving you access to the experience and support of other members, while also helping you promote your business in a number of ways.

Why…
So, you run a small business…
My guess is that you started your business because you are passionate about what you do.
But running a successful business is about much more than doing that “thing” that you are passionate about.
In fact, sometimes that thing is only a small part of all the things you have to do to have a successful business.
And sometimes, the challenges of wearing all the hats and juggling all the balls can be overwhelming and bring you to the brink of losing your passion and falling out of love with your business altogether.
You just wish there was someone you could lean on that understands those challenges because they are going through them too – or have been through them and can share their knowledge and experience with you
That is why I have created The Business Connection – as a place where small business owners can come together to get the help, support and encouragement they need to keep on fighting to reach their goals.
How…
Online group sessions
Our online events bring together elements of networking with group mentoring. As well as getting to know other members and their businesses, each session includes the opportunity to ask questions and raise issues you are facing in your business and get help and advice from me and other members, as well as report on your wins and the progress you are making.
Expert Help
As often as possible, The Business Connection brings in experts to offer their help and advice to members on a host of topics relevant to running a small business. There’s often the opportunity to ask questions and, as members, there’s also the opportunity to be the “expert” and share your knowledge.
Small Business Masterminds
Members are invited to sign up to one of The Business Connection’s peer mastermind groups. These can either be one-off sessions with a small group of six or eight people where everyone gets the chance to put a business issue or problem they are facing to the group and get feedback and help. Or you can sign up for a six-month mastermind, where your small group meets once a month and offers ongoing support with your business and accountability.
Planning and Accountability
Every month, The Business Connection will host a planning and accountability session where we all have the opportunity to talk about what has gone well, what hasn’t and what you are going to do next to move your business forward.
Social Events
The Business Connection hosts regular coffee and catch-up social sessions where you can just drop-in, say hi and get to know fellow members. It’s a fun and informal sessions, open to everyone.
Relationship Building
The whole point of The Business Connection is to help you, a small business owner, find your tribe and build a support network of people who know who you are, what you are going through and where you are trying to get to. Our exclusive Facebook group allows you to get to know and reach out to other members and we’ll also be running a Business Buddy programme for anyone interested in getting an accountability partner.
Business Promotion
The Business Connection offers a variety of ways in which you can promote your business through the website and social media channels. These include the Business Directory and Member of the Month as well as opportunities to provide sponsored content and sponsor networking events or newsletters. There’s also opportunities to be our “expert” and share your area of expertise with other members.

The Members’ area of The Business Connection includes a repository of useful resources such as guides and templates created by our members, experts and our team.
